I'll be There for You

Fourteen hours. Fourteen long hours on a plane is what Cheyenne Copeland had to sit through to get to her ill husband, but she didn't care. She loved Adam and she would have done anything for him. When she'd gotten the call from Jay that Adam was cooped up in his hotel sick, it took her less than a minute to start packing her bags. Her Addy needed her and that was all that mattered. Pulling into the hotel Cheyenne walked up to the front desk and nearly snapped when they denied her a key to her husband's room. "Now you listen here," Cheyenne said. "My husband is up there very very sick right now and I swear if something happens to him because you won't let me be with him I will have your head!" Smirking when the desk clerk handed her the key she went upstairs and went to her husband's room, knocking softly as she opened it.

"Addy?" Cheyenne said softly.

Adam laid on the bed, a pillow over his head. He was too tired to answer, though he lifted the pillow slightly off his head.

A soft, sad little smile. "Hey baby."

"Hey..." Adam croaked out softly.

"You sound horrible...."

"Thanks..." Adam croaked before coughing hard, "You didn't let Jay sneak in here right? He'd get sick before I could cough..."

"Relax, Jay-Jay's fine..."

Adam nodded tiredly before coughing again, he was glad Jay wasn't here to get sick.

"You just relax, I'll take care of you."

Adam nodded as he let his head plop back down on the pillow.

Cheyenne slid into the bed beside him.

"Shouldn't get too close..." Adam murmured quietly. "Can't have you get sick."

"Hush, Joseph, I'll be fine."

Adam turned his head to cough, coughing hard as he did.

She frowned, picking up the phone, and the phonebook to call a doctor.

Adam curled up on his side, letting his hair fall into his face.

After she got off the phone, Cheyenne laid back down beside him, stroking his hair.

"Who did you call?" Adam asked softly.

"Jenn. She's flying in tomorrow morning."

"You shouldn't of bugged her..." Adam said softly, "She's busy."

"She's a doctor, she takes care of sick people, you're sick."

"She's a doctor with a job and can't call off..." Adam muttered softly.

"Yes she can, now shush."

Adam groaned softly as he curled up on his side.

She kissed the sensitive skin at the crook of his neck.
