Clary nodded, "sounds good." She said getting up and going put to get Ry

Lorie adjusted the chair for her patient.

Clary walked back in with Ry as she got off the phone with Randy

Lorie smiled softly. "Just have a seat in the chair there."

Clary Sat down and Ry Sat down in the chair

"Alright, Clary, I'm just going to numb your nose so that the tube won't hurt you."

Clary nodded as Ry held her hand

Lorie applied the numbing medication, and slipped the camera into place. "There you, go, now let's try some short sounds first. Try an E for me?"

Clary nodded" eeeeee. "

"Good, good, same sound, but give me four short ones like we talked about earlier. Repeat after me: E. E. E. E."

"E.E.E.E"

"That's good, good. Let's try some words now, again, repeat after me: rat, bat, sat, red, bed, said."

"Rat, sat, bat, red, bed, said."

"Okay, just rest for a moment, just breathe normally."

Clary nodded and started breathing normally

Lorie waited a few minutes. "Okay, let's try four short like with those e's earlier, and on the fifth I want you to try to hold it like that ah earlier. Let's try that with o."

"A.a.a.a.a"

"Try to hold out that last one for me, okay. Keep that twenty in your head, and try to repeat after me: Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Ooooooooooooooooooooh."

"Oh.Oh.Oh.Oh.oooooooohhhhhhh. "

"Okay, that was good. To move this along a little bit, I'm gonna give you the next three sounds I want you to try, and I want you to do the same thing you just did with all three of those. Try it with and E, then an A, like in apple, and then an Ah, okay?"

Clary nodded and done like she student asked her too.

Ry watched

Loretta smiled softly. "Okay, one last thing, and I'll let you out of here. Just like that, just like you've been doing, but let's do a word now. Let's do, book, and just in case you've forgotten how we went over the words earlier, that's: book. book. book. book. booooooooooooooooooook."

"Book, Book, Book, Book, bbbbboooooookkkkkkkk."

Carefully, Lorie worked to remove the tube, discard it, and place a new one on the scope for her next patient. "There does seem to be some minor signs of vocal strain, things we often seem with common misuse of the voice. Do you scream, or yell often?"

"Yes. I have to to get Randal's attention when he is home."
